I’ve been attempting to use Photoshop CS4 on a Win XP Home system to perform certain filtering tasks (through smart objects) on several HD movie files (.mov). The movies open and process nicely, but nearly every time I render to video I am getting out of memory errors. I’ve tried increasing memory in preferences to 80-90% and I’ve set a separate hard drive to use as a scratch, but I’m still getting the error. My system is dual core with 4 GB RAM.

Thanks in advance for your help,
Jack

Is CS4 even supported on XP-Home ? Anyway I don’t think Photoshop is going to be able to use much ram on that system. You should be using x64 IMO.
