Is this possible?

I need an image created as a gift for a friend, but don’t know if it’s even reasonably possible. It would be Captain Picard and Data in the captain’s quarters, playing with GI Joes. (yeah, I know, but it will mean more to my friend than to you!)

Two questions: Is this something that can reasonably be done in photoshop? I have no source images; this would have to be from scratch.

Secondly, would anyone here be willing/able to do it? I could pay a small amount for your trouble. If you think this is doable and have interest, email me.

So you want someone to hunt down, kidnap, dress up Patrick Stewart and Brent Spiner as their TV counterparts and then pose them with G.I. Joe dolls? WTF do you mean ‘from scratch’? There’s no ‘suck the image from my brain’ filter in Photoshop.

What I am asking is:
1) Is it prohibitively difficult to basically create a scene like that in photoshop, given that there’s probably not an image that’s already reasonably close to it (unless Stewart and Spinar’s hobbies are similar and weird), and

2) Is someone here willing to do that for me, in exchange for a small sum of money?

I described the scene roughly. If someone’s interested, I expect there would be a dialogue between me and that person about what’s a reasonable versus unreasonable expectation, and how the image could reasonably look.

I don’t know Photoshop, or what’s reasonably possible in it. That’s why I’m asking here. Hope that clears it up a bit.

The image you create is based on strongly copyrighted figures and can be only for personal use.
I would be easiest to start with a suitable photo of the Star Trek actors and then composite in photos of the dolls that you have taken in a way that would best blend with Star Trek image.
If you can acquire the images the technical aspects are not difficult.

Hey, for the clueless [O.P.], nothing’s ‘obvious’ as you’ve well shown in some of -=your=- posts!

There are a number of ways to do this in PS. Probably the simplest is take a photo of two friends in ST uniforms playing with GI Joe dolls and replace friends’ faces with Picard and Data faces cribbed from pictures found on the Internet or elsewhere.

Starting with nothing makes the job a lot more difficult.

Perhaps you could print out this thread and give that to your friend to show him you really do care.

Here’s what I would do – start by googling for picard data, click on "images", and look for a suitable image. There’s one on the first page, with data waving a finger at Picard, that might work. The resolution is a bit skimpy – 320×240, but it might do for a card.

Do likewise for GI Joe – find one with the post you want, rotate and resize it until it’s about, and use the clone tool to copy it to a new layer on the picard / data image. Once you have the GI Joe in position, you can further fine tune the size and orientation.

Then use curves to make the GI Joe colors match the rest of the image reasonably closely.

It’s not all that hard – perhaps someone here will do it just for the fun of it.

Ignore the haters, BTW. Unfortunately, they come with the territory. —
