Hi,

Very new to photoshop & would be greatful if someone would point me to a tutorial of how to design a clock face that I can print on a cd. Nothing fancy needed.

Many thanks for your patience with a complete novice.

That’s great and all but, why? Just Google for a pic of a clock…

Thanks David:-)
The reason I did it was not to show him how to make a clock face, but rather because of this words:
Very new to photoshop
this was thus a way to show him the very basics of PS.

This was a pleasure, Richard. Playing a bit with what I said is a way to start learning using Photoshop.

You are welcome in this newsgroup. Ask questions and study tutorials. What’s wonderful about PS is the fact that it caters for different tastes. Whether you are a photographer, digital artist, photo editor, (we can ad to the list,) you will love having it in your toolbox.

Which version of Photoshop do you have?

Dave,
Many thanks for the reply.
I have an quite an ancient version I’m afraid, being version 7. Would you advice on updating? I’m just trying to get to grips with PS. Maybe a newer version would be easier, or should I stick with what I have for now….
Any advice would be most excellent.

I guess it would depend upon your usage … IF you need the added tools in the later versions, then spend the money.

For me, as I’m mainly concerned with new digital imagery or restoration of old B/W images, I’m quite happy with Version 7. I’ve not ‘plumbed the depths’ of that versions yet, either!

Exactly. Upgrading can be costly, which says you’ll have to make sure whether you get bitten by the Photoshopbug. If it does bite you, it is incurable. Only then would you know what to do regarding upgrading. http://www.plasticbrain.net/photoshop/photoshop-cs4-demo-vid eo/
