Hi I ve benn trying to do these grey frames

<http://www.pavigymusa.com/pavigym/installations.html>

But somehow I just cant do it. Ive been using the rounded rectangular tool, but it too fuzzy to be sure to cut out only the very edge. With the Marquee toll i cant get rid of the feathering of the edges, even if set the px to 0 in the options bar.

Can anybody guide me through?

When creating shapes using the Rounded Rectangle tool, make sure that you are viewing the image at 100%. This will make sure that the edges of the box are on the edges of pixels – very helpful for making "sharp" images.

What I would do is this:

* Use the Rounded Rectangle tool set to make "Shape Layers," and then drag out the shape you want.
* Move the image you want in the rectangle above it, and make sure the layers are right on top of each other in the layers palette.
* Highlight the top layer, and create a clipping mask by going to "Layer-Create Clipping Mask." (Or press "Ctrl-Alt-G.")
* Now, apply a layer style to the shape layer, with a stroke of about 2px, set to "position:inside." Change the color to grey, and you should be good to go.

Thank You, that almost works. I just cant get rid of the color when making the first step: When I am using the rectangular tool, it layers the image with a color.
I dont understand step 2 "move the image…". I dont see where I can move something. Dont I have to create a new layer at the beginning?
