Hi Gang,

I’d like to create a curved border around the bottom of this image, of the type made when using Canvas Size, to join up with the usual border on the flat sides of the image. I’m sure there are several ways to do this, so all suggestions are welcome. Most important is that the border size can be controlled to match up with the whatever border size is created with Canvas Size, and that the edges be sharp. Thanks for any/all help. Here’s the URL of the pic – file size about 175K

Shel,

Make a selection of the area you would like to have a "border". Start with the elliptical marquee tool for the curve and then add to the selection. Create a layer mask. Add a layer style of stroke.

You can also stroke a path or a selection from the edit menu.

There are several ways to execute and control a stroke but in the end you will want to use some kind of stroke option. I recommend a layer style simply because you can modify it.
