I’ve got photoshop 7 on this "loaner" computer. I’m a complete noob to this programme. Can anyone recommend some tutorial sites? When I say "noob", what I mean is that I can boot the programme up, and well.., that’s about it, more or less.
Thanks
Cyndi

Simply entering Photoshop tutorial into your favourite search engine will return millions. You can even start in YouTube if you’d rather not google anything

www.google.com is a good site. And Photoshop may take awhile to master, or lets say if you are quick learner then it may take you around 2-3 years with lot of practcing to know most of the basic requirements and may master few commands. If you are slow learner like me then it may take 10-15 years to master few technique(s).

I don’t know if there any good to learn from a borrowing computer, but for a quick start I would suggest to spend little $$$ on some older Video Tutorial to get familair with some basic commands. These video tutorials are often good for newbie to learn the basic commands, and for average user to improve some technique, but very few to almost none is good for skilled user.

Or most video tutorials are for showing of not detail enough for professional use. I have seen Lynda, and Total Training and not impressed, but I have run into one German video tutorial and I like it more than Lynda and TT (probably because it uses the similar techniques I use?), because it works directly to potrait photo instead of showing of the command.
