Just upgraded to CS2 from CS. I’m noticing some extra processes running in task manager now when Photoshop and bridge are loaded. I currently have 3 extra processes called ‘Adobelm_Cleanup.0001’ each using roughly 1.5MBs of ram. Anyone care to explain what these are?

Jon,

Those processes are associated with the License Manager (recalling a post I saw from Chris Cox) and should close down when you exit out of PS CS2…although taking a bit longer to do so.

For all those users who can’t kick the habit of referring to the Task Manager – here’s a nicotine patch:

Open Task Manager with nothing else running. Press Alt+Print Screen. Open Photoshop and press Ctrl+N. Select Clipboard. Ctrl+V to load the image of the Task manager. Save this image to your desktop.

Every time you use Photoshop, open this image and keep it visible in your workspace.

Photoshop will run just as efficiently (or not) as before. But you will work more efficiently because simply glancing at the nicotine patch will give you that warm fuzzy feeling as you go about the task in hand. <g>

Chris.

Is that on XP Home, XP Pro, XP64 Pro, XP Media, Win 2003 Server, Win 2003 Server Pro, Win 2003 64 bit or all of them 🙂

I wonder why I have two ‘Adobelm_Cleanup.0001’ tasks when opening PS CS2 and only one when using ID CS2.
Just curious.
