Help Colour replacement

Hi,

I was wondering if anyone could tell me what I am doing wrong, When I try to replace lets say a red eye using the new colour replacement tool and I choose black as the replacement colour it always comes out as gray on the picture.

Can ayone help at all.

I was wondering if anyone could tell me what I am doing wrong, When I try to replace lets say a red eye using the new colour replacement tool and I choose black as the replacement colour it always comes out as gray on the picture.

That question has been asked several times.

Color replacement replaces a color with another color but changes the brightness of the new color to match the brightness of the original color. Bright red gets replaced with light gray; dark red gets replaced with dark gray. To make the color black, darken it with the Burn tool, or select it and use the Curves command.
