Adobe’s requirement of a "licensed version of Photoshop" to qualify for an upgrade is not quite as simple as it sounds. The test is not met if the installed licensed version of Photoshop was past of the CS Suite even though the CS Suite is not listed as an exclusion for an upgrade and even though the CS Suite serial number is accepted at the Adobe website as qualifying for the upgrade.

I was not as successful. The supervisor refused to permit the installation of the Upgrade version of Photoshop CS2 to Photoshop CS1 that was part of the Premium Suite. I was obliged to return Photoshop CS2 for credit and must purchase the entire CS2 Premium Suite.
