For some reason when I start CS2, I get a message that it can’t use the Adjusted Refresh Rate module. I removed Adjust.8BX or something of that nature from my common plugins folder (I keep a seperate plugins directory so I don’t have to re-install everything when I upgrade). It didn’t help.

So, where is the Adjusted Refresh Rate module usually kept, and what’s it called? I’ll just slide it over to the older CS directory and not try to use it in CS2.

Thanks in advance.

That’s probably because that plugin was for CS – it doesn’t belong in CS2.

So just ignore it? If I uninstall CS, and leave shared files, will it go away?

It should be in the CS2 plugins folder.

And CS2 doesn’t need it.

I don’t know if uninstalling will touch it or not.

Is it the one called Adjust.8BX? I could just get rid of it or move it to the CS folder, so CS2 won’t see it.

Move it to the CS folder.

BTW, I just opened CS1 and there are two modules that it can’t use.

And I thought I was so clever using a seperate Plugins directory. Maybe when you do that you should only use it for plugins you buy seperately. That would save a lot of confusion.

Well, it seemed like a good idea at the time!!

Thanks, Chris, you’ll get extra mitzvah points for helping us poor slobs out here in the working world!!

Yes, only use a separate directory for third party plugins.

I’d ask what mitzvah points were, but I’m afraid there might be a mohel involved.
