Hello Photoshop Fans,

So I downloaded the tryout version of CS2 and liked it pretty much and I have been adding keywords to my files and also organizing saved keywords in the Bridge Keywords and Metadata panels…ah, but now I bought the CS2 upgrade and am attempting to delete the trial version and install the upgrade….so my question is: Can I save all the dedicated keyword lists in the Bridge keyword panel during the "delete Tryout and install upgrade" process?

Side question: why does the folder browser window keep reverting upwards everytime I move something or delete something from within bridge?

I’m running XP home on a P4 512 ram machine

thanks all,

Pete

The uninstaller should only remove the files and registry changes it installed. Your preferences, keywords, cache files, etc. should be left in place. (Note that I said "should," rather than "will"!)

Ah hah! Before installing the upgrade, I backed up the user files under application data for Adobe/Bridge. Then after updating, it was only a matter of name swapping and cut and paste to restore all the keyword catagory work in Bridge….the second part of this solution came as a result in conjunction with Adobe’s tech support. Go Adobe!

case solved – end of discussion.

erm.. Not quite Pete. For the benefit of anyone else who may have the same problem what did Adobe support say about the scrolling up problem?

Chris… right you are. That still is a problem. Because the keyword issue seemed to be an issue with installation, and the folder problem was not, I neglected to mention it on my freebie tech chat. So we should continue this discussion perhaps.
