I use Photoshop 7.0 with Windows XP. I created a action/droplet to resize and save image files as jpegs. I processed about 300 images with no problem. When I began doing the same with more images, it appeared to be working fine at first, but the files it is saving will not open in photoshop nor appear as thumbnails. They appear to not have the .jpeg extension. If I do a "rename" and manually type in the extension, the file instantly appears as a thumbnail and will open in photoshop, as it should. How do I fix this so the droplet/action includes the file extension automatically again? I have redone the whole process of recreating the droplet from scratch but the problem continues.

Do any of your files have a dot already in the filename?

Thanks for the response.
I have used no dots at all. A typical file name is as follows: Asian business woman_crystal ball MR# 764
I am told the underscore and ‘#’ sign are not a problem…and the first 300 images I processed worked great with similar captions.
