DCR raw files in Photoshop 7

I’m using version CS, and it takes Kodak’s raw DCR files just fine.

I sent some DCR files to a friend, who is running version 7 (don’t know about updates on that machine).

Did version 7 handle the DCR raw files? If not, I seem to recall that there may have been an update needed to do so.

No, Photoshop didn’t read RAW files.
There was a RAW plugin for Photoshop 7, but that stopped being sold when Photoshop CS was released.
