So, I like how in CS2 that you can Ctrl click layers to select and deselect whichever layers you want, but Ctrl click used to be the command for selecting the images in the layer. How do you do that in CS2 now? Thanks.

Ctrl-Click on the thumbnail of the layer, not on the grey area where the layer name is.

I noticed this alot going from CS to CS2, takes a bit of getting use to after 18 months of CS use.

Also one other problem im having, don’t know if anyone else has encountered…

With the move tool selected and ctrl click the layer from working within the psd would take you straight to where ever the layer is using CS. But in CS2 this does not happen why? Any idea why CS2 is doing this?

My PSDs are so messy I really don’t feel like being organised with them. Or perhaps maybe in the future so I can find the layer I want.

No thats not what I am on about. What you do is hold CTRL then click a layer with the Move Tool within the open psd then it would take you to the layer where ever it is in the layer palette. Not actually CTRL clicking the layer from within the tool palette, does that make better sense?

It works with PSCS and ImageReadyCS2 but if theres a nested layer set with PS CS2 it just takes you to the layer set not the actual layer.

I was responding to OP. Iยดm not sure of the subtleties of direct layer selection in CS2.
