I am having a problem with the motion trail plug-in in Eye Candy 4000. I keep getting a ‘cannot complete due to not enough memory’. I’m running dual 3.4GHz processors with 2GB of ram. I have my scratch disk set to a drive that hase 65GB of free space and have my cache level
set at 4 and my memory usage set at 85% (1507GB).

The file I was originally trying this effect was 500MB. I tried copying the file and deleting everything but the layer I needed. No go. I even created a new file that was half the size of what I was working with with just a rastered text layer. No go either. The motion
trail doesn’t seem to want to work on any file larger than 40MB. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

What version of Photoshop are you using?
Have you tried reducing the memory percentage in Photoshop?

Chris,

I am using Photshop CS. I have not tried reducing the memory percentage yet. I’ll give it a shot and let you know how it went.

Chris,

It was no go on the memory reduction thing. I’m still at a loss. I may have to contact the manufacturer of the plug-in to see if they have any insight.
