Whenever i try to open a new document I get this error message

Could Not Create a new document because the scratch disks are full

What does that mean?

What can I do to fix it?

Why should not reassign scratch disk location to the biggest (and fastest) HDD?

It means just that. If you don’t have another harddrive or partition to assign it to, you best buy a new harddrive.

Gee… I saw "Help! QUICK!" and as I waited with a strong feeling of angst for the page to load, images of you and and a laptop being sucked down in quick sand ran through my mind… possibly with a giant blood thirsty beast or cannibals looking on.
