I have installed PhotoShop CS2 and can no longer paint or do any touch up. Everything still works O.K. on CS. I have uninstalled and reinstalled CS2 to no avail.

reset the prefrences per the faq.

Also check the options bar, sometimes you have a blending mode like screen or lighten on in the tool options and you think the tool isn’t working but it is…had this happen more than once when painting on a white background.
