For some reason, when I flatten an image or merge visible layers, all the layer effects applied to invidal layers (e.g. drop-shadow, bevel, inner glow) disappear in 8.0. This did not happen in earlier versions, I am sing the same psd image I did a year ago which allowed me to render with all my effects intact.

Any remedies? best way to jst take the crrent layers and export as one image, layer-effects intact? I wish yo cold jst export a snapshop, THERE wold be a great featre.

Very strange. Doesn’t happen on my version of CS (Trial version). What was the former version of PS that you used?

In previous versions this behavior sometimes occurred if you were not working/viewing at 100% magnification. It had something to do with the number of cached versions of the image that had to be maintained when the user changed magnifications while editing. If you switched to 100%, the image then viewed correctly.

Your situation may be related. I haven’t looked at CS yet (7.0.1 here) until some of the "issues" play themselves out so I can’t try this myself. Sorry.
