When I save an image in a gif format it look really bad and choppy. What am I doing wrong? I’m saving them correctly…well, I think I am.

Thanks in advance!

Oh… I’m using PhotoShop 7.0.

Are you trying for transparency? If so, you are probably misusing the Matte element of the save for web dialog. Make sure you choose a color in matte that is close to the color for the background the gif will sit on.

The best is often to use pixel-based text, or at least make some tests with the different anti-aliasing methods.

Don,

That was it.

Thanks!

Piere,

I’ll try your suggestion too.

Thank you both for your help….

Mike
