Hello,

I bought PhotoTools a few years ago for PS 6 on my WIN 98 machine. I’ve just bought PS CS for my new XP machine and the install of my existing PhotoTools CD-Rom was a disaster. Does anyone know if Extensis will update my version, or have they come out with some sort of patch? I’m not sure if the problem is with the compatibility with PS CS or with Win XP. Any ideas appreciated.

thanks,

Anatoly

Hello Anatoly,

Yes, you can obtain a free update from Extensis for your PhotoTools
3.0…I’m assuming that’s the version of your CD. Regardless, the version
you need for use with PS CS is PhotoTools 3.0.6. You may be aware that the PhotoBars component was stripped out of PhotoTools when Extensis updated the package for Photoshop 6.0. If interested, you may download my PhotoBars CS supplement which is the original component remapped to provide full button and toolbar access to all of the Photoshop CS menu items. There is a small $8 fee for the supplement. More details on the supplment are at http://jazzdiver.com/photoshop. The Extensis download site for updates is http://www.extensis.com/support/dl_page.html and you’ll need to have your serial number to enter into the form.

Hope that helps,

Daryl
