I have a newer Dell P4, 40gig HD, 512 RAM, 2.4 gig processor, and currently have 30 gig free on HD.

Just took some raw (tiff) images with my digital camera, converted them, and now cannot open in PS. These file sizes are 38 meg. I have worked on files up to 128 meg in the past, but just now went in to other files I had on HD that were in the 36+ meg range and get same message that I do not have enough ram to open.

Also am getting a message that my primary scratch & windows etc file is on the same volume and recommend changing to another volume or HD. I did read the archive and wonder would creating a partition solve this problem? I don’t know how to create a partition, but I can figure it out, I’m sure.

Seems a puzzle to me. Any help appreciated.
