When in Acrobat 7 (with latest patch) I try to insert a JPG made in Photoshop CS2, I only get a white box. This happens only with JPG’s converted (with Photoshop default settings) from PSD files which contain worked on images taken with my camera (Nikon Coolpix )and scanned images (Canon). Other JPG’s don’t seem to have this problem. The JPG’s straight from the camera/scanner (not worked on or converted to PSD) don’t have this problem, they can be inserted as is. Inserting a JPG made in Photoshop CS or any other application, no problem, that works fine too.
The other way round, when I make a PDF from within Photoshop CS2 with JPGs made in CS2, that works fine.
Only when I save JPG’s in Photoshop CS2 for web, I can insert them as a page in an Acrobat PDF file.
This odd behavior might have to do with metadata in my PSD file, maybe metadata about the camera/scanner. Anyone any idea? For example how to get rid of these possibly disturbing metadata?
