How can I take a CMYK image, open it, then create 4 other images. One being the Cyan, One being the magenta, etc. Is that possible. I Know I can work on each channel within the channel window… but I want them all broken out.

I can do it in Corel, but I really don’t want to use corel.

TIA

Open a channel, select > all, edit > copy, file > new (opens a grayscale file the size of your image), edit > paste. Repeat for the other 3 channels.

Can’t one just click-drag from the channels pallet to a new document (one document for each channel)? (Using click-drag puts the new images in proper register.)

Actually, I found that if you click on the channels tab, then go to the arrow button for more information, you click split channels and it will create 4 new images with just color data in grayscale.

Thanks

And old features that you didn’t know were there.
