you can’t. that functionality was removed in cs because of a windows bug that was causing users to lose data. a forum search should turn up lots of info on this.
Al – my own workaround is to use either Picasa as quick image viewer or IrfanVieew as one at a time viewer.
Both show PSDs and you can open them straight into Photoshop if you wish.
Both are free, both are good, both are free and good (IMHO)
There is also the added advantage that the thumbnails may be scaled to a size you are most comfortable with rather than using default OS size
Well that sort of sucks, but I thank you very much for the information.
Have a great day.
Al
Use Bridge with the Photoshop artboard rolled up! That way you can "see" Bridge and still be working in Photoshop
It would be nice (IMHO) if the roll up was even more Gimpified to floating pallets.
But that is merely a personal view
get a second monitor and run brige at or near full screen! 🙂
I’m still coming to terms with the digital tv aspect of the ‘puter
Scalable tv seems nice on a side panel so … it looks like one or three – monitors I mean
And the thing is there’s no or very little CPU trade off It must be all hardwired linked somehow..
I have an ati tv wonder (fried my all-in-wonder) and yes. it’s all on the card.
I actually like using Thumbnail view for image directories, and Bridge can sit behind Photoshop and I can call it up with one click on the bottom of the screen.
Works fine for me. I suppose I could put Bridge on the second monitor, except I use that for the palletes.
I actually like the Bridge, it has a lot of very convienient features.
