Hi Gang …

Is there a way to set PS CS on a WinXP machine to automatically open the last used (most recently used) file. By that I mean to have the file open and appear on the screen without having to search for it and call it up manually after PS opens. There was nothing that I could find in the PS Help files, and perhaps this isn’t possible, but I just had to ask ;-))

I do know the file appears in the most recently used list …

Thanks!

Shel

Failing that will ALT+F > 1 do it?

Hi,

The key strokes are Alf+F > R > 1. But your comment gave me an idea, and I created an action and assigned an F-key to it. That’s OK for now – now, is there a way to run an action automatically when PS opens 😉 ?

Thanks,

In Photoshop CS2, yes, using File>Scripts>Scripts events manager, then checking "Enable events to trigger actions"
As for the Photoshop event, choose "starting application" Check the box in front of "action" and select your "open last recent document" action that you just created.

Nice one Pierre.

This is something I’ve been bitching about for ages.

Why haven’t Adobe built convert to sRGB into Save for Web in the first place?

Consider this a temporary fix. Let’s gather banners and get megaphones and invade the Features Request section 🙂
