Just upgraded to CS2. When I try to drag an effect(s) from one layer to another, the effects appear on the new layer but disappear on the original! This never happened before — it used to just copy the effect to the new layer.
And before, I could copy a single effect by dragging it — but now that I can’t do that, when I right-click and Copy Effects, it copies the whole group of effects!
What am I missing? Is there a setting I need to adjust to get back the drag-and-copy functionality?

Also — what happened to ctrl-J? Is it still there? When I make a selection and click ctrl-J, nothing happens.

You need to add ALT to copy the layer effects. This matches other copy behaviours in Photoshop (like when you use the move tool).

CTRL+J works fine here, as expected.
Did you try it on bitmap mode, maybe?
