Photoshop CS2. When I try to resize an object, the pointer turns into the double-arrow like usual over the control points. But when I click on a control point, the pointer becomes a little triangle, the bounding box jumps in size, and the object moves erratically — I have to ESC-cancel, or let go and Undo. It’s taking me about 10-12 tries at grabbing a control point before the resize function works.

I’ve tried at different zoom views, same bizarre thing happens. I’ve also tried with different "Auto Select Layer" settings.

If I run CS, resizing works fine.

Is this happening to anyone else? Any suggestions will be MUCH appreciated!!

Are you using a tablet or cordless mouse? If so is the mouse on the tablet when trying to use the pen?

Check your input devices first, by swapping them out if necessary. Mouse, tablet issues, lastly any keyboard utilities.

That’s all I can think of.

Good point Pierre, could be a "snap" issue.
