how do you change the feather of a mask after the fact? I CTRL clicked the mask and reapplied ALT CTRL D but it did not change the mask feather

How can you reduce the amount of blur/feather once the file is saved?

You can’t bring back a hard edge that has been feathered — can you?

You can go to the Mask channel, and use Levels or Curves to make the edge harder. Unfortunately, the result won’t be quite the same as if it had never been feathered, and the greater the feather, the sloppier it will be.

well, in AE you can alter the feather as many times as you want and eventually remove it entirely if you want – even after the file has been saved…

you can do that in ps too if you don’t flatten the layer mask and use ONLY the layer mask to feather…

Back off through History to the unfeathered point?

Applying threshold (50%) to the mask should bring back the unfeathered one
