Well, It took me, having Version 5, switching from version 4, about a year. Maybe more. Actully, I didn’t switch to PS5, I switched to version 5.5…. I can’t remember Why, Something about the shortcuts, I don’t really remember. Then there was 6 We got 6 at work and I made the transition Fairly smoothly. SO FAR, 7 is IT for me. I loaded the trial version of CS2 and worked with it for a week… All I can say is, it’s not for me. Maybe if I’d used PS CS I could have made the transition more easily. I can’t really see any improvement.
What is the MAIN advantage? Text on paths? I use freehand for that… much easier and more precise. Is Adobe just making a more bells and whistles (smoke and mirrors) version to sell another version?
I guess that my real complaints are in the image I sent (8 kb, sorry) Work flow is what I need. The keyboard shortcuts are what I need as much as anything, and I don’t really want to spend a whole lot of time reading volumes to find out what I need to do to do the kind of work that I already do.

Yeh you can live happily with V7, CS Improvements are nice but not essential, single bigest advantage I found on CS1 was being able to use the transform tool on layers.
Naturaly Adobe will continue to ‘upgrade’ the product, thats how they survive, it’s realy a case of what tools you need, if 7 does the job stick with 7
