A young lady wants me to colorize a photo of hers, and I of course said, "Piece o’ cake!" I’ve done it before in other programs but never in Photoshop. Is there a procedure for this in Photoshop?

Hey, Thanks, Dave…just what the doctor ordered! And it wasn’t such a dumb question either, as Al Ward himself agrees, that there’s not much on the subject. Perhaps justifiably, since the results are much more acceptable when removing color than when adding it.

you’re welcome. there’s a few good tuts out there on the several colorizing techniques. that’s a good one… here’s another:

that’s where I first learned to colorize. check through the rest of wacom’s tip archive when you get some time. there’s some good ones there!

….in case that helps…

trev, i actually got that first tut from your site… i think i have an old link and it brought me to a not found click here page, which brought me to a tip of the day page, that contained that link. i was originally looking for your tut, but thought you may have taken it down… thanks!
