Hey all,

have about 26 Photoshop Temp files on my C drive and they are taking up way too much space on my computer

each file ranges from 300 MB to almost 2 GB

do i need these files?? i have never seen them before and i dont know if i need them or not. i would prefer to delete them if not to free up some space on my drive.

here is an example of what they look like

Photoshop Temp7603 300,300 KB
Photoshop Temp13256875 1,922,700 KB

and the list goes on. if anyone can tell me what these files are and if i need them or not i would appreciate it…

thanks

If they’re not the current date… no, they’re probably leftovers.

Close Photoshop. Do a search (of all your hard drives) for .tmp and .temp files. Delete them all.

Then practice good housekeeping. Allways close Photoshop before shutting down your system. If you should forget – or suffer a system crash – repeat the search and delete.

Happy hunting!
