I’m looking to purchase an A3 printer for home. I’m looking at a inkjet because the print qality is better for colour images that a laser. the price range is about £350 inc VAT.

what i’m interested in is the best print quality between say HP’s, Epsom, Canon etc. and the one that has best value for inks etc.

I’ve been looking at HP9800, HP9300, Canon i6500, Canon i9950.

MacBook Pro 16” Mockups 🔥

– in 4 materials (clay versions included)

– 12 scenes

– 48 MacBook Pro 16″ mockups

– 6000 x 4500 px

that depends, laser is upto photo quality, and a lot faster than Bubble jet.

the price range is about £350 inc VAT.

Not going to get much for that im afraid.

know its not what you asked for, but if you want good quality A3, you should go for something like the HP 5550, but the price sure is a lot highrer than £350.

I can recommend the Epson R1800. You don’t have to just take my word for it though:

I can also recomend the R1800. They now have a 2400 (extention of the 2200) but it seems the R1800 has a wider color gamut and is more archival.

Not sure what the Canon i9950 is, but I have a Canon i9900 and love the thing. It handles paper up to A3+ (13"x19") and used 8 cartridges that are individually replaceable. The print quality is the best I’ve seen from an inkjet.

I can Amen to the i9900. I even use it on canvas media and it is beautiful. Bob

Do the Canon use Pigment-based inks? how long does the print last?
