I have been using CS for many months with no changes: no new plug-ins, etc. Today my eraser begain painting in black. I have changed no settings with regard to the eraser and can find no references to this in the help file. Closing and reopening the program, rebooting the computer makes no difference.
Am I overlooking something obvious?

B,

If you’ve posted this question "outside" of the Adobe Forum, (like I used to) not many (if any) of the contributors to this (mirrored) group will see it. I signed up with the Forum to "get the answers" In the meantime it sounds like your fore and background colours are reversed. Try hitting x on the keyboard. If they aren’t showing black and white, hit D first.
