I’ve lurked here, off and on, for a while. I’ve even done a search of the archives but, suspect I’m not quite choosing the right words, to search so: –
I’ve got a copy of a very badly degraded photo; a portrait, circa 1900. If anyone is interested to see it, they can e-mail me at the addy in the header or, mention here and I’ll e-mail a copy. What I’m wondering is, if anyone can point me in the direction of a tutorial that would help me with this? I’ve done some reasonable tidy-ups (photoshop face-lifts) and red-eye removals but, nothing of this magnitude.
So any hints, clues or, pointers to tutorials would be most welcome. The few tutes I’ve found, aren’t of as badly degraded photos as I have.
Thanks,

PS. It may well be I need a miracle but, just thought I’d ask as, I said – the picture is badly degraded.

I’d like to see it. You might try www.retouchpro.com You can post photos there, people make efforts to fix them and they tell you what they did. John McGerr

I tried to reply to you alone, but to no avail. I would like to see the photo.

I just sent a copy of it off to all that replied but, as it was being sent, there was a normal windows operating adjustment – a glitch, if you will. So, if you get it, or not, then let me know at the above address or, in here is fine. I can always re-send it.
I’d also like to add; thanks for your interest. I really do appreciate it.
Cheers,
