Size of the company means nothing. Some of the largest companies are nothing more than a board of 8 people.

What’s your product? How will the logo be used? What are you looking for in a logo? How many revisions will be made? What will it be used on? What’s your company’s revenue?

Are you asking for a bid to design, or would you like all to include all of the letterhead, packaging, and other printed materials? Do you need this updated on your website?

Basically what it will boil down to is How much do you have to spend?

Depends on how much work you want done and how picky you are. The more you have to spend, the pickier you can be.

If its a very small company with low revenues, you can probably find a freelancer to do the logo, business cards and letterhead for you in the $3,000-$6,000 range.

Don’t expect more than 2-3 designs, an identity manual, or any legal searches for copyrights on the logo and any names you are using or any printing to be included in the cost.

In short, you can get something very nice but you won’t get any bells and whistles to go with it.

A law office I know (I’ve worked on design for them) paid $250 to a college student for their logo. They put it on everything. They don’t realize that it looks like they paid $250 for it.

You can spend a million, and get nothing better.

Find an individual designer whose logo or Web page or portfolio you like, and tell ’em your needs and budget.

What does, your "etc." include? I can do the logo redesign, letterhead, bus. card for $1500.00 That gets you 3 comps in each of those 3 departments. Anything beyond that would be extra of course.
