Hi,

I’m having an error when trying to link to photoshop with an album design program called PageGallery. The program basically uses actions that are in photoshop so the programs work hand in hand. For some reason though I can’t link to it all of a sudden and I get the following error message while in PageGallery when attempting to link to Photoshop…

Could not link to Photoshop. Error Message was : Exception code 0: General Photoshop error occurred.
– Error 8800: General Photoshop error occurred.
– The object "action "SDP 1028" of set "VDP 1014.atn"" is not currently available.
Line: 91
-> doAction(dactionname,dactionset);,(failed on "DoJavaScript")

I specifically went and checked to see if those actions were there and they are available for use in photoshop so I don’t know why it’s saying they’re not. Any ideas?! I need this to finish a wedding album for a client of mine.

Thank you,
Weston

I’d suggest you contact the PageGallery vendor. It is very unlikely that anybody on these forums will be able to provide you with an answer. A General Photoshop error occurs when a script fails but it is generally the script that it is at fault, not Photoshop. It may be that the program can’t find a JavaScript or that the JavaScript itself has failed . This sounds like a very complicated and poorly designed program (presumably VB) if it needs to run Photoshop actions and call JavaScripts rather than have all the code compiled as a self-contained unit.
