deploying to multipl;e PCs

Hi all

sorry for the OT question but I tried the PSE forums and ended up here.

I’m wondering if anyone has had to deploy PSE (same would apply to PS I guess) onto 100s of PC and if so is there a quicker way of doing it that going round to each PC ?

mix of NT, 2k and XP

Image one machine, push image using Symantech Ghost, but Make Sure You Have A Site License first…You cannot install only one copy of PSE to more than one machine

Hi Christine

thanks for the reply, we do have a PSE site license all right. Not sure imaging the PC with ghost would work as very few of our machines are identical, user data wiuld get messed up with this too wouldn’t it ?

We do a clean install every semester to each room using Ghost to different directories, not the root…our master server files for student access are seen as a separate "partition" and not reimaged…Our IT department has gotten pretty good at hitting each room correctly with the correct image…they also use SysPrep….
