Is there any way to fix the massive color changes I get when I copy/place something between Photoshop and Illustrator?

I’ve heard of some sort of driver that will adjust your Adobe colors to match your printer colors or something like that… anybody know of something like this?

I’m using CS2 of both programs, fyi. Thanks.

It isn’t a driver. It is a custom color profile for your monitor and a custom color profile for your printer.
Monaco or Colorvision can do these tasks.

You need to be using the same Colour Management settings in both applications.

By saving your Photoshop colour managements settings to a colour settings file (.CSF) from Edit > Colour Settings, you can then load that .csf into Illustrator’s Edit >Colour Settings d/box and ensure that both are using identical settings.

If you have the full CS2 package, open Bridge and select Bridge Center. From there you can sync the color setting across all of the suite apps.

For some reason I can’t find "bridge center."

I have the entire CS2 package installed but it’s not under "favorites" or "general" in the preferences.

By "the entire CS2 package" Bob meant the full Creative Suite i.e. Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Version Cue (+ GoLive, Acrobat in Premium)

I have tne ENTIRE CS2 Premium package installed. I read the help file on how to find "Bridge Center" but it doesn’t show up under ‘favorites’ or ‘general’ in preferences like the help file says it should.

I’ve changed all the color settings to match across all of the programs already, but it irks me that I can’t find the Bridge Center.
