I’m not sure how to add filters to texts. I tried tutorials, but it wouldnt work. What I mean, is I want to be able to use the filters, and the filter gallery, but I don’t know how, because it doesn’t allow me to with just the texts.

You have to rasterize the text (ie turn it into pixels) to use the filters but it won’t be editable as text after that.

Go to Layer>Rasterize>Type and rasterize the type…at type sizes about 18-24 pixels the rasterization will be almost unnoticible..smaller type however will show some jaggie edges…

Also you can create a type layer duplicate it and then rasterize the duplicate to save a copy of "editable text" in case you find typos, have a client change their mind, etc.

You could also try "layer styles" (double click on the blue area of a layer) not as dramatic as filters, but you can apply these and the text remains editable.
