Automate–> Plug-in on new layer… ?????????

Does anyone know what this automate function is in CS2? Under File–>Automate, I see a "Plug-in on new layer". However, when I click this on any kind of layer (normal, type, layer set, etc…) NOTHING happens…

I am wondering if this was installed with another plug-in I have installed but honestly, I’m not sure. Does anyone know what this does or how to use it?

I don’t see it. Did you add some scripts? maybe from te goodies folder? have you tried using a filter to see if it will automatically create a new layer when you use a filer?
