Does anyone know how PS handles EXIF (camera metadata) in its workflow?

The data’s in place in the RAW file (in this case, Nikon NEF), but it seems to be tossed out during the conversion — File Info doesn’t show it, and it certainly doesn’t make it all the way to a .psd file.

So the follow on question: "How the EXIF info can be preserved during processing?"

Thanks,

I hate it when someone does their own follow ups… but it seems that when you open a file in PS with the Nikon RAW plugin, the EXIF data doesn’t make it. But with ACR, it does….

Can anyone else confirm this suspicion?
