Flattening hierarchy of photos with Bridge

As far as I can tell, Bridge only seems to work in a hierarchical way. I’d like to be able to use it the way I can use Adobe Photoshop Album where I can see my entire collection on one go, or of course filtered as desired – yet ignoring the actual location of pictures.

That way, I can continue to load new photos into their own folders yet still have a unified view of them.

Can this be done? I’d stay with Album but it doesn’t support Camera Raw so it’s rather useless.
