There used to be a program that would put a grid
on a pic and allow you to distort the picture by
manipulating the nodes at the edges of the grid.
It was pretty cool. It seems like there was a Kai
tool that did the same thing. Does Photoshop
have anything like that other than liquefy which is
what reminded me of the older tool. If there was
a 12 x 12 grid then there would be line 144
points that could be moved (just to try to be clear
about what I mean)

Photoshop CS2 has the warp tool.. I think this is what you need.

There is a plug in that does a great job which is call "Rubberman"

cs2 also has a lens distortion tool. that, in conjunction with the before mention warp tool add much flexability..
