Hi,
I want to use some text (not decided which one yet) that instead of being just a colour, i want to make it look as if it is covered in a Tartan. Can anyone point me to a way of achieving this please/

TIA Len

If you have a tartan pattern already (or any other pattern for that matter)
Type your text on a new layer over the pattern.
Then with the Text still selected (or double click on the T in the text layer pallette)
Go to Layer – Type – create work path –
Go to the Paths pallette – select the new path and click on – load path as a selection.
Move the selection where you wish it to be.
select the Tartan layer and press control J

make a text layer below your tartan pattern layer.
In the layer pallette with the your mouse, alt+right click on the line seperating the tartan and text layer. This should load the tartan into the text.
