I am very new to photoshop and I had an individual designing one of the websites and now is not available to help me step by step to change the design. It has 5 layers including a picture. It has a frame for a picture to go into, and my question is how do you get the picture inside the frame? If someone is willing to help, I can send the template.psd via email and take a look at it and tell me how to remove the current pic and add a different one. Your help is deeply appreciated. Thanks.

My guess is that the picture is the bottom layer and that the frame consists of at least one layer above the picture layer.

In Photoshop, open the original file as well as the image you would to add to replace the old one.

Then, in the original file, select the picture layer in your layers palette (Window > Layers), likely the bottom layer.

Now drag the new picture to the old file while holding the SHFT key, which will automatically center it. This will place the new image above the old one, hiding the old one, but place it below the frame.

If you need to resize the new image layer, just press CTRL+T and drag a corner while again holding the SHFT key to constrain proportions. Simultaneously holding the ALT during this last procedure will alter the size from the center rather than a corner.

Peadge 🙂
