Hello,
i have a problem, i am using photoshop6, there is a file which is o png format. If i open it photoshop an error is coming saying tha *"could not open"D:\mythri\horizon.png" because the file-format modul cannot parse the file.*
can u please help me in opening that file in photoshop6. thankyou

You may have to use another program, I think older versions of Photoshop didn’t deal with PNG files correctly: it omits the physical size (cm) of the image, and only stores its raster size (pixels).

Try opening the file in IrfanView and resaving it. Then opening it in PhotoShop.

PS – IrfanView is free, but be sure to download all of the plugins. You will need them for some of the functions … such as opening camera RAW files.
