A student at a PS course asked me a few questions regarding PS which I wish to share? I will apreciate support from this newsgroup.

1) How can I go from a layer striaght to a new PS file (transfering that layer into the new PS file on the way)? Can this be done via a click and drag or via a command?

2) Is it possible to transfer multiple layers to a new PS file with click and drag (or another command)?

3) What is the difference between the fill and opacity in PS?

MacBook Pro 16” Mockups 🔥

– in 4 materials (clay versions included)

– 12 scenes

– 48 MacBook Pro 16″ mockups

Edwin,

If you select your layer and go to Layer>Duplicate layer (right cick with the mouse on the layer) you are given the option to rename the layer and put it into a new destination document.
Likewise, if you multiple select your layers, except the rename option is unavailable.
Opacity afffects any layer styles and blending modes applied to the layer, you can specify an opacity for layers.
Fill opacity affects pixels painted in a layer or shapes drawn on a layer without affecting the opacity of any layer effects that have been applied to the layer. (Check PSHelp)
