Ditto to what Daverj just said. Really disappointing. Adobe really needs to do more research before ‘improving’ their programs. I like to drag and drop, not place and making new pdfs is not an option since I’m opening files from others. No workaround is acceptable. I don’t care if there’s ‘another way’ to do it. It’s inconvenient, and there was no reason to remove it in the first place. Congratulations Adobe, I just forked over 900$ for you to suck minutes out of my workday.

I gotta say, I don’t like the way the new one opens PDF’s, and am especially disappointed with not having a page number field (I have 300-400 page PDFs). But I REALLY like the way Place makes it a non-destructive edit by making it a smart object. Really, really nice.

make sure you mention the open page option in the feature request section if you want ant chance of getting it back!
