When I try to launch my CS2 I get this error "This application has failed to start because MSVCRT10.DLL was not found. Re-installing the application may fix this problem."

I did as it told me, and reinstalled, and I still get the error, tried it again but this time uninstalled everything that was with it, the registration and all that.
But it still says it to me

I’m running windows XP pro SP1

Either you have a third party plugin or driver that wants that DLL, or you need to reinstall Photoshop (but I don’t recall Photoshop using a DLL that old).

find a copy of it on your hard drive somewhere under windows (windows\system32 maybe?) do a search. when you find it, copy it into the same folder as photoshop.exe

That .DLL is allready in the photoshop directory, but it still says it is missing.

Hey, I’m quoted in one of those threads (copied from this site!). Yeah, it’s probably Filter Factory — or one of your plugins requires it, in which case you need to put the file in the appropriate plugin’s directory. (The file is on the PS CD in the goodies directory, with the filter factory.)

Oh, I forgot that we still shipped Filter Factory. That sucker is getting WAY too old (and incompatibile with current OSes in a way that we can’t update it).
