When I open a file in the photoshop, even though the thumbnail is vertical, it appears horizontal. Then I rotate, save and close. And if I open it, mysteriously the file is again horizontal. It seems it’s not save the rotation function. I had talked to some other photographers and they also experiment the same problem, but no one could solve it so far. Does anybody have any idea how can I fix it?

You’d need to give as some more information for a definitive answer. If you’re in CS2 however, purging the cache should do the trick.

My CS version 8.0 Sorry, but I didn’t understand what do you mean "purging the cache"

I don’t have CS(1) working at the moment, so I can’t be precise, but you should find Purge Cache somewhere in the Browser menus.

It is under Edit>Purge Chris with options for Undo, Clipboard, History, All

Thanks Len, but the OP is talking about his browser’s thumbnail display.

"Purge Cache" is somewhere else. In CS2 it is in the Bridge menu – I just can’t remember where it is in CS(1) for the file Browser.

Chris.

Ah, Sorry Chris.

That would be from the File Browser menu>File. Options being Export, Purge and Purge entire.
